Winter Solstice

A regular fixture in the Calendar, with hot drinks at the start and soup provided at the finish.
A later start to give overnight frost a chance to thaw.
The reasonable flat route crosses the Cheshire Plain and loops into North Shropshire to visit Market Drayton for a lunch stop and returns close to Chester, however unlike previous editions, the cafes at Aldford and Gatesheath are both closed down at the time of writing thus the afternoon control will be the Spar at Tarporley where hot drinks are available.
E-Brevet option will be available and all finishers will receive a distinctive sew on cloth event badge

The route follows a slightly undulating route to Alderley Edge before a relatively flat route across the Cheshire Plain to Market Drayton for a lunch stop, returning via Whitchurch.
